Gowrings of Newbury has been established for over 85 years and is one of the most well-known and respected car dealerships in Berkshire, Hampshire and the Thames Valley. In 2002 the dealership was bought by City Motor Holdings and in 2005 Derek Morgan joined as Managing Director which has seen the whole company go from strength to strength. The present showroom enjoys its busy location on Newbury Motor Park right next to the Tesco superstore. Gowrings of Newbury is a Ford main dealer, home to a large used car operation boasting over 100 cars on the forecourt, Service Department, Parts Department and delivery as well as Rapid Fit. In 2006 the dealership was re-developed and is now also home to the Accounts Department for the whole Gowrings Ford operation. The company employs in excess of 100 people across the two sites in Basingstoke and Newbury.
